Question by rebecca: What are some student loan consolidation companies for me to try? I have student loans I need to consolidate?
My student loans are through Sallie Mae and they charge 100 dollars to get a forbearance on the loans so I need to consolidate with a different company.

One word of advise BE VERY CAREFUL and review the terms VERY CAREFULLY. In this day and age, be sure of the interest rate and the penalty if payments are missed. (like adding a $ 150.00 late fee)

Question by yes_usman: What is the connection between slowing housing market and loans with the stock market?
How come the loans on housing is affecting the stock market, what the main connection there?

Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Treebeard
Companies use the interest from the loans to create more loans for other businesses and other purposes, and so, when the housing markets melt down there is not as much money to loan out, and that has a ripple effect on everything else. Also, consumers who have rising interest start curbing their expenses, so the demand for products go down, and so companies suffer.

Question by Tucker: What exactly will a web design college class teach me to do?
I was interested in web design, and have been thinking of trying it out. What would that class allow me to do once I am finished. Will it give me the skill and training to design a decent website? Or do you have to take additional advanced classes to do much with it?

I plan on creating a website in the near future. I understand basic HTML but I know that doesn’t get me very far. So my idea was to take some web design classes and go from there. Help! Thank you!

Web Design isnt a major, though you can take a course on it.

Basically, it is just HTML, MySQL, and DataSocket.
The latter 2 deal with setting up servers.

Question by Curious Cat: What will happen to the IPv4 address once IPv6 addresses come into play?
Will they be replaced by IPv6 addresses?

Best answer:

Answer by Alex
I think we will have IPv4 AND IPv6 and will choose from them depending what we need our Internet connection for, since they use different techs and v6 will use more bites so it cant overwrite v4

Port City Group boosted its employment by 12 percent over last year thanks to two Rural Business Guaranteed Loans totaling .6 million. In its 80,000 sq. ft. facility, machines that range from 800 – 1,600 tons, and cast A380 aluminum alloy products from melted ingots of aluminum, into automotive components of U.S.A. made vehicles. The process features a variety of robotic presses; computer controlled machining; quality control facility; and complete measurement and testing laboratory. In 2009 banks were backing out of loans for PCG equipment purchase agreements. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) loan guarantee helped make the loan possible with its guarantee. PCG obtained the needed robotic and other equipment. This resulted in a stable workforce that has since grown. When asked about their USDA experience, Port City Group Sales Manager Laura LaGuire said, “It was great! They were very helpful. Question by : What happens to the status of student loans if I transfer undergraduate schools?
I just transferred undergraduate schools and still have some student loans from my previous school (Sallie Mae and Federal Direct loans). Is there some sort of clearing house that my new enrollment status will be sent to so that the loan agencies know that I haven’t just stopped going to school (and thus cause my loan payments to become due)? Or must I obtain enrollment verification from my current school and send it to each loan agency myself?

Best answer:

Answer by sue
Although most lenders find out if you transfer schools, it’s best not to wait to hear from them, as they may have you in repayment status, and if you go too long without making a payment, you’ll default which will ruin your chances of federal aid in the future.

Best thing to do is call each loan servicer, inform them that you changed educational institutions, and ask if they need you to provide anything to them to keep your loans in good standing with them.
