Question by : Should i put my webserver on the dmz port or should i use port forwarding?
Im running ipcop on my network. What i want to know is why would i put the webserver on the dmz port of the firewall(ipcop). Currently im using port forwarding but is thinking about putting the webserver on the DMZ. Will it provide better security than port forwarding and what is the advantages and disadvantages of using DMZ instead of port forwarding.

And can i access the webserver from the internal network when it is connected on the DMZ port.

DMZ opens all ports, while port forwarding opens only the ports you specify. If port forwarding currently works for you, I would use that method.
